Bing Bong The Case Is Dead!

Richland County, South Carolina sheriff Leon Lott announced that no marijuana charges were being brought against Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps. Lott said the Phelps never admitted to smoking marijuana and also that he had suffered enough with his suspension from US Swimming.
Let's dissect this a little more and perhaps come up with our own theories, shall we. I can somewhat agree that perhaps there was nothing in the bong when Phelps put it up to his mouth, but I find that highly unlikely. You see, with people in the teen/twenty generation, there's the 'cool/not cool/follow the leader/everyone else does it/it's no big deal/I dare you to try it/come on, one puff won't hurt you' mentality. For that reason, and that reason alone, I'll say he probably tried it. As for the suffering Phelps' suspension brought upon him, well, let's just say that we all have our own variations of the definition of suffered. Considering that no swim meets were scheduled during the period of his suspension, how much suffering did he do? Oh yes, there's the money, but I guarantee you that one of his endorsements more than shadows that chump change.
Now, let's look at Leon's portion of this pie. Being a county sheriff means that you are elected to your post, thus having to run for office. Do you think maybe Lott was hoping to run for re-election on a 'sheriff that nailed Michael Phelps' platform? Going after the all time gold medal winner in the Olympics? ..........LEON, ...........did you really think this one through?
