The Golden Jet Retires......Yet Again!

New York, New York, a hell of a town, the Bronx is up and the Battery's down and the Golden Jet is now out of town! Well, it goes something like that, anyway. After a valiant effort last season to propel the New York Jets to the big dance by coming out of his ultra short retirement, Brett Favre has decided to hang them up. While the Jets record for the season was respectable, a playoff appearance was not in the cards. The urge to continue playing the game you so passionately love may never seem to go away, it ultimately is defeated by time and reality. Some will always say that Favre's first retirement from Green Bay should have been permanent, a small part of all of us still held out hope that the 'one more year' syndrome would have prevailed. How Brett Favre will ultimately be judged can only be left to time.
